How long do Virgin Mobile prepaid phones last?

My pal comes to visit me from Japan (I live in the U.S.) and will need a phone. I wanted to order from Virgin Mobile Oyster because it is cheap and it comes with a card of 20 dollars. However, my boyfriend will be here for a week and then will return in December to visit. How long do Virgin Mobile phones active? The telephone expired in December and I need to buy a new one?

On another note, I acquired a brand new Motorola KRZR Blue Unlocked GSM phone. I wonder if I should submit my boyfriend with a prepaid SIM card instead of going the route of Virgin Mobile.

If you do not reload or put money in it for 90 days then its .. is not active and you have to call and reactivate .. what does not cost money or something else .. they would give you a new phone number. but if you add money to it fairly regularly ... at least every 90 days .. then youll have no problem.

I do not know what to say about the Motorola phone though. he would probably have more fun .. telephone, but may be more expensive on a monthly basis, so I guess you should watch this .. but I do not really know anything about this phone so I do not know how to help you on this point.

ps.like that guy said, you did not order the phone .. they sell at Walmart and Target, and probably other places too ... but I think they sell more phones oyster .. atleast not in stores. they were replaced by .. marbl who is black and flattering .. there is a picture of it on the site, its virginmobileusa.com .... always the same price as oysters though.
